She claimed people were imperfect, but she ever so rarely practiced what she preached. It's quite ironic how Isabella preached to not place people on pedestals, yet she, herself, has done and said many awful things. Instead of changing how they approach to these topics, they just keep them away from fan's eyes. That's really the opposite of what they need to do. They've done it before online publicly, but shoved it out of the light so it doesn't "trouble them". It's not something that seems out of their character. And Bunny and David, judging by how they acted online and argued with people.I can totally believe it. And I've actually been apart of something like this. What really hit me the hardest was this: Steam Powered Giraffe (important). They are being justified - people are just being defensive about SPG because they like them. This blog is getting a lot of hate, but it doesn't deserve it. They provide evidence of their claims and still support people no matter what their side is. I'm sorry, you guys are probably wondering what I'm talking about.well, Steam Powered Giraffe(SPG) has a lot of dirt on them that they've managed to hide for the longest time. And it took me seeing someone actually discuss what they did and providing evidence of it for me to finally realize what is wrong about them. They kept it out of the picture and would only display their responses to make it seem like they hadn't done anything wrong. Because I couldn't see what people were accusing them of. Because I couldn't find what they were arguing about. They don't do that.Īll of these things I've witnessed and seen.but didn't think twice about them. You need to address the flaws of people you love. It's one thing to support your sibling, but it's another thing to ignore their unjustified actions and support them blindly. David tended to always side with Isabella, too. Because she's.transgender? She would ignore the topic of whatever was being argued and would curve the convo so she could talk about her issues as a trans person.Īnd people supported her because of that? Because they could relate? I know these issues are bad and they need to be discussed, but she'd completely blow the argument out of proportion so she could discuss on what was troubling her. I've noticed this a lot on Facebook and Tumblr, and I was often on the other side of issues like these, but it seemed like the rest of the fandom just kept supporting her. I've witnessed her acting immaturely online and totally blowing off people instead of addressing what they have to say. I feel that her reactions to some things were quite overbearing. I've never really liked her as a person - just her aesthetic. And, more often than not, he just dismisses what other people say and seems to curve the topic. The issues he addresses online feel heavily opinionated. But sometimes he'll act like SPG is perfect because they're only doing what they want to do, but then, at other times, he'll call what they're making garbage and that he doesn't take what they're doing seriously. When I met him, he was real nice to me and my brother(we're twins, too). I really respected him as a musician and a person. And I didn't think it was too big of a deal because I just figured that happened in such a situation for them to leave - but now I'm realizing that it was horribly wrong.ĭavid still tends to make questionable posts. It's a horrible site with a lot of horrible people. And I couldn't quite blame them, everyone nitpicks you for whatever you say and do, and people tend to take everything out of context there for social issues. But I do know that they had an issue with Tumblr. Because her and David pushed it out of the picture. And I remember reading everyone sending the members meaningful messages and how much they cared about them, but they never addressed what the issue was even about. There was nothing you could access about the drama - nada. What I remember from those posts were that the original convos were deleted and they just left long, "heartfelt" messages about matters and inspirational stuff. I remember seeing some posts back when they were on Tumblr about them "addressing" issues and such. I've read their tweets and posts about certain things and I ever so rarely agreed with what they'd say. Going to be honest, I never really liked how Isabella and David handled issues.
